One way to combat these malicious attacks is to use multi-factor authentication. The number 1 vulnerability in any business is their employees. Just one wrong link clicked could create a disaster for your business. A robust employee cybersecurity training with weekly micro training is recommended for all companies. Don’t assume that your business isn’t big enough for criminals to bother with. Your customers and employees are both relying on your security.

Some other ways you can protect your business is to segment your network. This means that you have your data locked down to give access only to those who need it. So guests using your wi-fi, office computers, manufacturing floor, etc. are all on different segments. This way each segment is individually protected and if there is a breach, only part of your data is affected. Keeping technology updated is also important for security.
